Is it okay to place some leaf litter (Oak Leaves) in the tanks of Lygodactylus? The reason I ask is because I find the plain look of the sand/soil in their tanks alone to be boring as compared to dendrobate vivarium floors. :D

(Sorry I post this here, the english section takes long to get an answer in)

Hi Maureen,
I don't see any problems why you shouldn't use leaf litter. Just make sure you get it from somewhere distant to a road. I always use leaf litter in my tanks for gonatodes. I really like the look.
Besides, you can also use plants like peperomias.
Best regards
Michael

I use Fagus sylvatica leaves.
The Trichorhina tomentosa love the leaves!

I would love some ground covers (esp this one, but I cannot find who sells it http://www.ahartig.de/pflanzen/weitere/ ... hylla.html ). Only problem is most places are not shipping currently. :(

Perhaps I can take a drive to Ben's soon.
