Yesterday my female kimhowelli vanished for over an hour, when she came back out she looked very skinny, deflated and wrinkly, so I knew she laid eggs. I looked for the eggs afterward but have no luck to find them yet.  Could she have eaten them? If yes why? There is plenty of egg laying locations in the vivarium. Cork tubes, cork flats, bromeliads and other plants. These were her first eggs. |

Hi Maureen! Perhaps the eggs were infertilized. Just wait for the next clutch - I keep my fingers crossed for you! Greetings Dennis PS: They can hide the eggs pretty good (if they want;)) - perhaps you will find some juvenils in two months in your tank

Hi, Mine ate a clutch too. I found only a few parts of eggshell. I think it's strange to eat them when they are infertile, but it can be a reason... I think it has an unknown stress reason, but i'm not sure... |
