I caught this little one a few moments ago because i had plans for moving it in with my pair. Now that I get a good look at the underside, i am not 100% anymore that it is female. :/ My one that I know to be female has a totally different neck pattern, more like a small /\ , this one has the small /\ but also a line and a swirl. :/

The gecko is just short of 10 months old. ( Dennis if you are reading this, this is one I got from you last year :D )

I do not want to leave it out in a box so long, so I am hoping to get some replies soon.

Hi Maureen,
To me it looks like a female - but i´m not 100% sure.
I would try to keep them together - but if there is too much trouble in the tank over days you should separate them again.

Hi Dennis,

All seems to be well so far. I put the gecko in short before the lights went out for the night. The confirmed male went up and sniffed her and gave her a nudge with his nose before going off to bed.

Hopefully they will all have a nice day together, but if not I am prepared with a backup tank. :)

Before placing it in I did give a good look with a strong magnifying glass and could see no definite pores. :ugeek:

There has been a small amount of chasing from the male to the new one in the tank. I even noticed the main female give chase twice. The male has been very excited with the new gecko in the tank. She wants nothing to do with him yet however and will sometimes swish her tail or move her head side to side. So he has been going to the other one in the tank.

Judging by his behavior towards the new one, I am guessing that the new one is female, as I do not see any fights and his behavior toward it is much like with the other one.

Well it is a female. Found the male breeding with the new one last night. ,)
